The movie reminded me of Saihate Station, both are based on transportation, planes and trains, with both having Japanese influences and leaving behind being alive.
I understand that to a typical horror movie enthusiasts, it's mediocre, but the movie hit all of the right buttons for me personally. The pacing, foreshadowing, characters, and reveal.
Death can't be spoken by the living to be death.
