My father in law just passed and I was left his Martin d28. I was playing it after the funeral this weekend and noticed a wire in the body. Turns out there is an input jack in the bottom strap mount. I tried googling the specifics of the pickup but I can't seem to lock down the specifics about the pickup that is in the guitar already or how it functions etc. this is my first acoustic guitar and so I'm not sure where to look or what the proper terminology is to lead to the right place. Any help or insight into it would be appreciated.

I have a 4.5 month old German shepherd, had him about 2 weeks. My wife and I are really struggling to potty train. I have a 4 year old GSP that more or less got the basics in like a weekend. I've never had trouble housebreaking a dog before. He took about 3 days to crate train and will hang out or nap in his crate. Doesn't really whine when being put in there, Sleeps fine at night, etc.

- This guy will not go in the grass. You have to pick him up or pull him into the grass or else he will try and pee/poop on drive way, sidewalk, garage floor, porch, etc. he will just hold it and hold it. He is generally good about peeing in the grass if we harness him and carry him to the grass.

- It doesn't matter how long it has been since he last went, he will try and hold it otherwise. He will stalk around, and I can tell he has to poop but he just won't go. I've tried taking him out when ever he starts sniffing but he will hold it for 30-40 minutes and start sniffing around in like 10 minutes once he's indoors.

- I've tried putting him in his crate and taking him back out only to try and get him to go. Well he goes in and out of the crate for like 6-7+ hours before he will go. It's literally all day, sun up to sun down in and out of his crate to try and get him to go.

- I tried waiting him out and it's like hours to stand there every single time. I don't really have 6-8 hours a day to just stand outside.

- I try walking him but he just gets distracted by literally anything. I can't have my other dog around because he just tries to chase and won't go.

- He does not ask or whine to go out so he spends the majority of his time going outside to stand around and just look at us before going in inside or in his crate just to come back out and look at us.

- Oodles of praise when he uses the bathroom doesn't seem to have any effect. He doesn't give a shit about treats or food either so rewards don't seem to work either.

We spend practically every waking moment trying to get this dog to pee/poop outside and my wife is getting to her wit's end. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
