My local lidls just got 'upgraded' with new self checkout machines and then they put in these gates so you can't leave until u scan a receipt.

I didn't understand it so got stuck there until a worker just scanned something to let me free.

Maybe it's not big deal but im autistic and got rly confused. What's next, we gonna have to outloud chant 'bahhhhh' like sheep to exit?

I don't see the purpose of the gates. I paid for my shop isn't it like a type of imprisonment.
