Just rescued this little guy. What does this mean?!

Hi everyone, I just rescued an African Grey parrot from a neglectful case. He/She was living outside in isolation for 5yrs. Health, age and gender are unknown. I have no experience with birds/parrots and almost every time I approach the cage, this happens.

What does it mean? It’s like he’s whining/moaning and his wings are slightly elevated. We are on day 4 together and I don’t want to overwhelm him if he’s uncomfortable but I am trying to socialize with him a little more every day. Should I back off?

Latex / Organic Ortho Dog Beds

My senior pittie has osteoarthritis. He’s had some bad flare ups and we are making all the swaps in our home to get him comfortable. I’m having trouble looking for an orthopedic bed made of latex or at least an organic cotton or wool cover. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I would prefer a bolstered one but that’s even more rare.

- Avocado Dog Bed is sold out in Large
- Essentia Dog Bed is on back order until September
- SavvyRest is so expensive
- TailMade only has a website, can’t find any articles, reviews or social media but their customer support was nice and gave me all their certification numbers for their OEKO-TEX and CertiPUR-US

I know Barker Beds is highly rated but I would like it if their cover wasn’t polyester and I don’t mind the memory foam but if there’s a latex option I would very much prefer that.

Appreciate any help!

4/5 Star hotel recs that are geared more towards adults without kids. Also very dog friendly

My boyfriend and I are looking to stay in the Florida Keys for 3 nights for our 5yr anniversary. We also want to bring our dogs (40lb & 65lb) Typically we stay at boutique hotels and avoid any chain resorts. We just want a relaxing weekend with our dogs, enjoying good food and exploring out on the water. I feel like I might have to do a resort but didn’t want to compromise on food quality. Places that include kayaks/paddles/bikes are also a plus. Islander Resort is a contender for now but wanted to hear other options. We love the Perry but want beachfront this time and we’ve done Isla Bella and weren’t impressed. Any ideas? Appreciate any advice (:
