In hand haul: The Row, BV, Prada denim, Margiela, ERD
Parcel finally showed up, so here's some quick first impressions before everything goes in the wash. Kept it pretty simple this time around with the GATs, ERD jeans, and a few easy everyday pieces. W2C in the comments.
The Row brown half zip — No visible branding, just a clean, simple half zip. The cotton's on the thinner side, but it feels soft and comfortable against the skin. The sleeves run a little long, so they might bunch up if you have shorter arms.
Margiela Paint Splatter Hoodie — The raw hem is probably my favorite detail on this. They fit really oversized with a loose, relaxed shape. The waist sits a little wider than usual since there's no ribbed hem to pull it in.
The Row mohair sweater — The black and white knit looks even better in person than it does in photos. It's nice and thick without feeling itchy, and the collar and short button placket sit really nicely.
The Row knit overshirt — The waffle knit feels really soft, and the collar lies flat instead of flopping around. It looks put together without trying too hard. The knit does feel a little delicate, though, so I’d be careful not to snag it.
BV Detachable Intrecciato Collar Jacket — The woven collar is easily my favorite part of this jacket. The rest of it's pretty simple apart from the small triangle logo on the chest, so the collar gives it a bit more character without overdoing it. Nice that you can take it off too.
Prada navy jeans — These are way softer than the raw denim I'm used to. They're lightweight too, so I can wear them all day without feeling too hot. Really like the back pocket design. One has a flap while the other has the Prada badge.
Prada washed black jeans — These are a bit thicker than the navy pair. Really like the straight fit, and the charcoal wash looks great in person. The little Prada badge pocket is a cool detail too.
Margiela triple black GATs — Saw so many GAT QCs on here that I finally gave in and bought a pair. No idea if this is the best batch, but it's hard to complain at this price. Shape looks good, the sole's a little firm, and I'll have to see how the upper holds up with more wear.
ERD striped jeans — These look like something I'd find in a thrift store. The denim's softer than I expected, and all the little details give them that classic ERD feel without going overboard.
