New to Scanning: Questions about the limitations of the Revopoint Inspire 2

I want to preface this by saying I am entirely new to the 3d scanning world. I saw that the Inspire 2 was listed for sale and that it was marketed to medium- to small-sized items with decent accuracy. So I snagged it up to try it out. The only other form of scanning I've done is photogrammetry with OpenScan. All scans have been centered around miniature capture.

I've posted two pictures: one that I've done today on a 32mm model using the Inspire 2, along with a similar-sized model from the OpenScan. I'm curious if I've hit the limitations of the technology or if there are ways to get more detail and refinement. I'm familiar with Blender and know some cleanup will be required. From what I'm seeing with the Inspire 2, I'm getting a base mesh to sculpt rather than a scanned reproduction.

My long-term goal was to catalogue models and items for personal projects in the realm of kitbashing and alterations. In asking this, I'm also curious if the Mini 2 would yield markedly better results or if gains would be marginal.

I really appreciate in infomartion that might help figure all this out. Thank you!

Hey all! Bought a cheap model off Ali to try learning all sorts of things for Gunpla. I usually do miniatures, but I found an artist who was painting models in mini style, so I thought I'd dive in. I tried to keep the airbrushing to a minimum and paint the model as a single piece.

I also wanted to try to learn some NMM styled painting with OSL lighting. Would love some tips and tricks from any experts out there on how to improve! Next time, I will be taking advantage of sub-assemblies!
