I'm an upcoming freshman at umbc, and I waited a little too long to apply for on-campus jobs. I've already messaged Oca Mocha, and they said that I might take a while to hear back. What other places near umbc hire part time student employees? I don't have a car, so it would need to be within walking distance or have some kind of public transportation to get there.

I'm an upcoming highschool senior and I'm planning on applying to umbc. My academics are ok, but writing is definitely my stronger suit. Does umbc put more weight on academics or your college essay?
