The Gooligog clue

The Gooligog clue

Boyd is the gooligog. The symbol is on the ambulance. Kristi is in overalls. That picture is that scene.

Edit to add: If you make boyd taller you can actually match all the lines as well. The spikes on the googligog are the pattern on the ambulance.

S1E08- Broken windows, open doors.

I did a post yesterday about the windows being boarded up when Boyd first arrived and how I thought it was strange. The diner glass dooe was boarded up, yet the door opens, so the boards aren't to stop something coming in. I think I've come up with an explantion and something that might happen in season 5.

Boyd said when they found the talismans the monsters stopped screaming. Maybe they stopped screaming because the talismans prevented them from breaking windows. Their screams are at a frequency that would shatter the glass and with the talismans in any house not boarded up it would break a window, so they are prevented from screaming. Unboarding the windows when they found the talismans is what stopped them screaming.

So if all the talismans are gone, they are going to go back to screaming and all the windows will get broken. I have no idea who boarded up the windows to protect the windows back then though. Perhaps the BIW told Victor to do it after the massacre.

But why didn't that happen in the 70s? Maybe someone did have a talisman and didn't tell the others. I suspect Christopher.

Something strange I noticed.

In season 1 episode 8 titled broken windows, open doors, when Boyd and his family arrive all the windows are boarded up. Even the glass door on the diner. Who did that? It wasn't there after the 70s massacre and apparently nobody was there while Victor was there till Donna arrived. Donna and father kharti told boyd "what you see is what we know". Also why would they do that since they didn't have talismans and they hid every night. They said all we do is hide and pray.

Also it is boarded up on the outside. The monsters can just pull off the boards. The only ones who would have done that are the monsters. They wanted to protect the windows while there was nobody but victor there. A crow could smash into one for instance. The monsters have never done anything destructive to any of the houses either.

Why would those monsters care about the houses? The MIY doesn't care about the houses because he steered a car into one of them.

Consequences of Julie storywalking

Julie popping into the past and seeing MIY eating people let the MIY know that there will be a future cycle.

Now although he would already know there will be a future cycle because he killed everyone, when Julie storywalks in season 5 she could have given him future information and ammunition. For instance suppose the MIY saw Julie somewhere way in the past and realises that none of the cycles are going to be successful up to the point he sees Julie in present time. He can do whatever he likes and not worry the cycle can be successful and end it all. He probably becomes more powerful over that time.

The BIW could see her as well and so he never planned for anyone ending a cycle, his only plan over the years would be for them to help the current reincarnations. That day he spoke to Christopher it was never to help them get the bones because he knows they aren't successful, he wanted something from Christopher that would help the cycle in the future that Julie would be in.

There are a lot of scenarios where Julie could have inadvertently given them information which caused the other cycles to fail. So the reason they could be succuessful this time is that MIY and BIW have no information about what happens this cycle.

choosing Day.

I think this will occur again near the end. The monsters are dead and there is a dangerous way home and people will choose whether to stay with Donna or leave with Boyd. Donna can't leave she has a heart condition so it would proably kill her. Henry is too old and Victor won't leave there because he considers that place his home. I'd say most of colony house won't leave because they are sick of Boyd's plans and I get the impression they actually like it there except for the monsters.

Sara will sacrifice herself for the others to escape like she has been trying to do for a few seasons. First episode is her locking the door after everyone leaves in the diner. I think she blows up that LPG tank to kill all the spiders at the lake of tears.

This fits the description from Pinkner that it will feel inevitable from the first frame.

Chekov's gun in episode 1

As boyd is ringing the bell, beside the gas station is an ASME vessel https://ibb.co/JWm0PzvL. It most likely contains pressurized LPG. It lasts indefinitely. They can blow up a lot with that tank. I did a post what I think they will use it for, but it was long, so I thought I would just draw people's attention just to it. I haven't seen it since, but it could have been in scenes I never noticed.

Wild theory about Jade. Contains spoilers from teasers.

I think Jade might be immortal but doesn't remember what has happened previously. I think at the end of each cycle he gets shoved in the tomb like we saw in the preview for episode 5. I had originally thought he was just going to relive all his past deaths and that was Chrispher's death being entombed. Victor never collected his personal things so he wasn't with the other dead. Also when we see all Jade's visions playing the violins (all his reincarnated selves) Christopher has no visible wounds.

But why wasn't there a Jade in the 50s when something big went down and most of the town appeared. Christopher was alive during that time but wasn't in fromville? He didn't come till he was like 60. Miranda was just a small child in the 50s and Chrisopher would have been about 20, so they don't sync up with their ages.

There is also something strange about Jade's appearance in Fromville. Toby never mentions him once. Toby doesn't even check the car to see if he is ok. He just gets out and leaves. Jade was still on the seat when he "woke" up. How could he have remained on that seat in a crash and not even wake up? He also tells Boyd there is noone else in the car without even checking.

I don't believe Jade ever leaves Fromville. He is entombed and brought out when it is time for a new cycle. He looks different everytime and doesn't remember. Perhaps the MIY inserts a tooth in him and makes him shapeshift into that person with all the memories.

There was a reason Miranda was worried about Christopher and told her children to hide in a place Christopher does not know about.

Also one of the Jade's at the settlement was drinking blood from a skull (Jade's vision of himself). He seemed like he had gone through with the ritual of killing the anghkooey children.

And that post office appeared in the 70s. The houses, diner and colony house all have decor from the 50s. I am aware the buildings are older, but thhey left the real world in the 50s given their appliances etc. The Post officer however has decor and things from the 70s (CB and push button phone etc). In Victor's flashback of the massacre the flag is brand new. I don't know the significance but I think it is tied to Christopher.

Martin was the previous storywalker - spoilers epsiode 4

I did a post about how Julie dropped a pen in the timeline where the massacre happened. She created a duplicate and that is her bookmark. But to extend this idea, the duplicate suitcase I believe belonged to Martin. He was the storywalker before Julie and that is why he ended up chained in that dungeon to stop him. That is why he had so much knowledge about fromville. Julie could only storywalk after he died.

Julie can possibly create duplicate people. If she grabbed hold of someone and dumps them in another timeline there will be two of them. If she grabs Jim from one timeline and dumps him in another there will be two of him. of course the original Jim will always die. She takes them with her when she leaves...

Abby's ring and her grabbing Boyd from the grave is probably an indication that Julie will make a copy of her and at that point in time there is two of them and only one dead.

Jim and Abby are currently schrodinger's Jim and Abby till Julie actually performs making duplicates. That is why Jim appreared to Ethan looking dazed and confused and Abby grabbed Boyd from the grave.

Julie just created a duplicate... spoilers

pen by dropping it there. That pen may have originally been there and now there are two of them. So perhaps this is how we ended up with an extra bracelet and suitcase.

Was Abby trying to tell Boyd to use her ring for Julie to get back to when she was killing everyone? Now I am not certain how objects get Julie to a particular time though. But that seems like the bookmark she left there. That pen will take her to that time being a duplicate.

I know this is going to be downvoted but I wanted to put it out there anyway.

There is something a little Suspicious about Donna. When Tabitha is searching missing people to show Henry she first tries to recall Donna, but can't remember her last name. It is added there to draw attention to Donna. Donna only talks about her back story and we never get any flashbacks. Nothing dangerous ever happens to Donna. Her bedroom has the rendez-move company wall calendar. The rendez-move stuff is to draw the audience attention. It is also an ad on Henry's computer. His computer also has the hawaiian woman stiker on it. That suitcase in the caves with a wedding dress is an identical duplicate of the MIY's suitcase. It also has the hawaiian woman stick on it.

She is a friend of the MIY and they both play in the town they created when they were children. Children bring things into existence in fromville. And these two children were two of the children sacrificed in the 50s. They wanted to go home and the town was created from their memories. The BIW was also one of those children. The anghooey kids created a tree to take them faraway so it isnt a stretch that children are creating the things in fromville from stories they heard and nusery rhymes.

Downvote away lol

edit to add: Oh and the townspeople are monsters because of the MIY. They got their imm ortality but he saw them as monsters and that is what they became.

The ruins of the torture chamber (where Martin was chained up) appear to be the oldest thing in fromville. The oubliette dates it to the middle ages sometime. 1506? maybe from the numbers in the lighthouse.

The church. It is older than the town given the stone walls. There is no electricity and it is empty. No pews etc. No indication when it arrived but if the numbers in the lighthouse correspond to objects in fromville then 1609? Miranda painted Pilgrims, this was probably their church.

The village Tabitha grew up in seems to date sometime in the 1700s given the clothes of the man Jade sees and Tabitha's clothes. This is where the first child sacrifices we know of happened. the anghkooey children. jade's board however places it in 1800's so I might be wrong. But I think it is 1752/1773. First jade period.

The civil war soldiers are from 1864. I have no idea if any buildings were dragged in with them.

The lighthouse has a fesnel lens so this dates it around the 1883 mark. No ghosts to see if there is a Jade or tabitha at this date.

I think the colony house was dragged in around the 1931 mark since it has electricity.

The diner is from the 50s. The tabletop jukebox places it in that era. All the town monsters are dressed in 50s as well. There is no date on the lighthouse wall to correspond to the diner. The BIW is also dressed in this era. Maybe he was one of the children they sacrificed.

The post office. It has a push button phone in it which was invented in 1963. So maybe it arrived in 1978, just before Victor got there maybe or around the same time.

No idea when the root cellar got pulled in. It is probably around the 1800s. The guy with the boulder on him looks like a farmer. Maybe this is how the civil war soldiers arrived there, a farmer hiding them in the root cellar. I would have dated at the 1883 mark but that corresponds to the lighthouse. Unless production just didn’t know the fresnel lens wasn’t invented till the later 1800s and thought they were just using an old lighthouse. Maybe the lighthouse was meant to be the 1672 date?

For reference these are the numbers inscribed in the lighthouse 1506, 1609, 1672, 1752, 1773, 1864, 1883, 1931, and 1978

I am very iffy on a lot of those dates. Anyone have any further ideas?

edit to add: OK the root cellar has electricity. So that is perhaps 1931 and the guy with the boulder (yeah reincarnation of jade) was probably hiding alcohol down there (prohibition). So still uncertain about colony house.

I did a post a few hours back about there being two worlds. Basically the new trailer shows some odd occurances such as Boyd ringing the bell when it is dark. Jim turning into Tabitha when MIY is killing Jim. Kenny out at night looking quite relaxed. Burning a body out front of colony house which is really strange and at dusk. I think this is the other world where the monsters come out during the day instead of night. Boyd is ringing the bell at sunrise for everyone to go inside.

We also have Victor's map which shows a woeld on top of another in a circle upper right. We have a duplicate suitcase the MIY uses to change into Sophia's clothes which is also in the caves. He didn't go take that case because it has been repaired and the clothes packed just to neatly for a monster. The one in the cave has a broken strap on the inside amd the one dug up is not broken. The talisman show a person over another person indicating a world under another world.

Following this theory, Jim is still alive in that other world because it is Tabitha who gets killed. We see Jim looking at things around him. He can see the other world as well as the one he just got killed in. He is between worlds because he is not fully dead yet because his duplucate exists in that world that is under them. It is the same for father khatri and other "ghosts". They are still alive in the other world. I don't think these people know what has happened to them, they are just not fully dead yet.
