The disappearing Rosh Hashanah card
jewishchronicle.timesofisrael.comMy first Rosh Hashana cards!
The first time I've made Rosh Hashana cards (and the first time I'll be sending them out as well). I was inspired by others sharing their cards here!
Update: Cats: Jellicle Ball was worth the trip!
I posted last week about a single day trip to NYC to see Cat: Jellicle Ball. Got up at 4 am and made it home at 1 am. TOTALLY WORTH IT! A magical experience and I hope others can enjoy the week we have left of it.
Funnily enough, I happened to be seated next to a family who flew in from halfway across the country to see it. They did stay overnight, but had to run to catch their return flight. They also agreed it was absolutely worth the trip!
"Sell Your Stuff Sunday" input needed
We are considering making a "Sell Your Stuff Sunday" weekly event. However, we would love your input on rules and guidance! Presently, we've come up with the "no drop-shipping." The sub rule of "No AI-generated work" would also stand. We want to make sure we're not overlooking anything important.
We'd also like to know whether it should be a single megathread post where people can comment with their wares, or if it should be open for any posts with a "Sell Your Stuff Sunday" flair. Please chime in!
Single Day trip to NYC to see CATS: The Jellicle Ball!
If it wasn't closing, I don't think I would have bit the bullet!
I've bought my train tickets to travel down early in the morning, catch a matinee (although just missed out on a first row mezz seat), and head back the same night. Also bought travel insurance just in case something goes wrong, like the showing is cancelled.
I'm very excited, hence the post. Wish me luck!
New Rule in Place: No AI-Generated Content
From feedback last week, we've added a new rule against posting AI-generated content.

It's a common rule on many arts and crafts subreddits, so we are happy to follow suit.

This is something us mods didn't even consider, so we're grateful for this concern to be brought to our attention.

Our sub is all about celebrating our wonderful cultural traditions of arts and crafts, made by Jews and/or for Jews, spiritual and secular. Just as the generations before us created their own work, so do we.
How much would you pay for a kit that came to your door with 6 crafts covering 2-3 Jewish holidays and containing:
All supplies to do the crafts (other than things like scissors).
Detailed instructions for how to do the crafts.
A source sheet with Jewish texts in Hebrew and English and discussion questions for you and your kids and explanations of how the sources link to the crafts.
a Spotify playlist or link to other resources.
