LSAT testing tips?

I am looking for someone who was once (or has been a few times) in the trenches of prepping for an LSAT rewrite. I’ll put the context below, but I’m basically looking for tips and tricks for people who struggle with testing anxiety. Trust me, I didn’t think I had it but as you’ll see below, my scores tell me otherwise. Perhaps also some tips about getting back into the swing of studying when you have taken almost a year off.

For context, I have been on the waitlist since April of this year, and I had a lot of optimism about not ever having to write that exam again. I actually still have a little bit of optimism about admission, but let’s be so real 🫪

I’ve written it twice, both times without accommodations. The reason that information matters, is that my scores kind of indicate that I have undetectable testing anxiety lol I say undetectable in the sense that I felt very calm as I wrote, and I felt very focused.

I was regularly scoring between 169-172 in my PTs - and I perfectly mimicked the exam environment. However, my actual attempts were both exactly 14 points below what I had been scoring.

Also worth knowing, I got a cold before each of my official attempts. You don’t notice how much a cold messes with your cognitive function until you’re studying for an exam lol.

I do have diagnosed ADHD, however I was unmedicated up until two months ago. This medication has given me an ability to focus that I’ve never experienced before in my life. So there’s a good chance that my score could be different this time around.

I’ve never been the type to seek accommodations but at this point, I feel like I’m kind of shooting myself in the foot for not taking what could put me on a level playing field. So if you have any advice about how to mitigate testing day anxiety, I would love to hear it.
