Advice on what to do after seeing adult beetles in new apartment
We’re moving into a new place and this week we’ve seen four adults, one the other day in the bedroom by the window that was open for ventilation and just yesterday another three in a different room: one by the window, another one by the socket/outlet and another one in a planter that had a plant that had dried out.
No larvae yet that we’ve seen.
Should we be worried and consider it an infestation? Or that number isn’t hight enough to trigger our alarms? Could they have come in through the windows or were they in the apartment beforehand?
Since we’re between places, I’m very worried we might have brought them with us to our previous home during one of our trips to get stuff. How easy is it for them to hitch a ride on clothes or bags? Any steps we should be taking to protect our previous home?
We’re based in Spain.
It’s the first time we’re dealing with something like this and we’re scared…any help and advice would be very welcome, thanks in advance.
