Betta Livida
A friend kindly passed me a Betta Livida male to pair with an existing female I have (both in a 30cm cube). Looks like it’s adapting well & feeding on some live BBS.

Tank size is 90 x 45 x 45 with the idea of having two “tree logs” on both corners. About a month-ish in on this tank.
Fish includes 2 pairs of Betta Hendras, 6 Parosphromenus Harveyi, 12-15 Boraras. Likely including some kuhli loaches & six banded barbs soon.
Just sharing this and happy to hear thoughts on improving the setup!
Currently have a 90x45x45 tank housing some blackwater species (2 B.Hendra pairs, Paros Harveyi & Rasboras).
I’m curious if the mixing of another betta species would cause trouble or is generally frowned upon due to risk of hybridising? Reason for asking is that I would like to house other coccina complex such as Persephone if there’s not too much an issue.
While I welcome breeding, its not a main goal of mine.
