Early November southern European destinations for a birthday long weekend
Hi everyone, looking to plan a 4 night long weekend for my wife’s birthday in early November. We live in Switzerland would like to get some place warm with sun and maybe a beach but are having a hard time finding a nice hotel / accommodation that will tick all the boxes. We want some place with great food either onsite or in a town / area that has lots of great options. We have no kids and enjoy nice design and architecture in terms of hotel hard product.
We’ve looked at:
Marbella - Marbella club (seems nice), Anantara Villa Padierna, Puente Romano
Mallorca (suspect it will be mostly closed down and colder then) - Cap Rocat, Es Raco d Arta (looks gorgeous)
Lagos area of Portugal - various hotels but few seem FAT.
We recently went to or don’t have much interest in Sicily, Greek Islands, Crete, Malta, etc.
Any other ideas? All ears!
