Should I get post exposure vaccine
I have read the FAQ.
I was in Thailand and bitten by a semi-stray cat on June 25th. Resort (near Krabi) had a bunch of cats living on it but they did not appear to be owned. I was picking up/petting one of them that seemed friendly and not what I thought a rabid cat would behave/look like but looking back it was kind of lethargic and made wheezing sounds. It gave me a seemingly friendly bite on my thumb that did not bleed but I am concerned about micro tears that could transmit the virus. I’m pretty sure I’m vaccinated but I can’t remember how long ago it was. Is this something I should be worried about and get a post-exposure vaccine, especially since rabies is endemic to Thailand?
