The state of shutterstock

It's really sad to see what shutterstock has become. A decade ago when I started uploading photos and footage to stock sites like Adobe, Shutterstock and Getty, Shutterstock was my main earner.

I then took a break from uploading and over the years my Adobe portfolio has been out earning Shutterstock by a country mile. Recently I've started uploading again to Shutterstock, Pond5 and Adobe.

I've uploaded 2000 assets, mostly video to all platforms over the past 3 months. Since then, my new assets earned me over 200 USD on Adobe and about 1.5 dollars on shutterstock and 0 on pond5, which is owned by Shutterstock.

I'm feeling like it's not even worth the effort to keep uploading to Shutterstock. They ran prices into the ground for contributors on the promise of volume, but there is 0 volume. It's just sad to see.

Does anyone else have the same experience?
