I'm brand new to biotech investing, I'm a Civil Engineer by trade, so the terms and concepts are alien to me, however I've really enjoyed trying to get to grips with the excellent models and reasoning being posted/argued here.

I've a general question about biotech investing, Is this situation common whereby publicly available information (enrollment start date, milestone/event dates etc) allow such detailed and confident assessments to be made, or are we dealing with a rare situation?

For example, is it common for the event trajectories to be made public so investors can make these types of strong inferences about potential outcomes before the trial ends?
