For Inkitt's Team
I don't know if Inkitt's team still reads through this sub. I keep seeing new writers on Inkitt asking the same questions in groups and on reddit. I think there should be pop ups of some kind for people who just signed up. They need to know the basics of how the platform works, instead of assuming they'll find the FAQs hidden on the website.
For example:
• Your story has to reach 10K words to start showing up on the Recently updated list within 24 hours.
• Once you mark your story as complete it will be on the completed list for a while and your story will get a bump in readers.
• The platform rewards consistency and engagement. Stories that update frequently have a greater chance of visibility before completed compared to stories with all the chapters submitted in one go.
If anyone would like to add anything, please do so. I love the platform but there's some basic things that could easily be improved for new writers.
