i am a student who took wbjee and am getting haldia ece can you guys answer some of my concerns please

1.) whats the situation of ragging as i come from a different state then wb
2.) what is the infrastructure situation like the cleanlyness and all
3.) whats the avg cost of the MESS cuz hostel is affordable but idk what the mess costs
4.) i am very interested in softwere so can i sit in cse intervies as ece students (i plan on developping coding skills myself)
5.) whats the review you'd give me as a fresher

so
1.) if i am getting ece in haldia institute of technology and mechanical / civil in nit patna what should i choose and why should i choose it (a lot of family members argueing about it)

2.) whats the eligibility to change my branch from mechanical to smt like ece / cse after the first year and is it smt a good student can do

3.) i have a mild to low %ile so the chances i have in a nit is nit patna specifically due to the home state quota so should i be considering its mechanical as i am learning python and have a road map to study coding and data science

please guide me as this has become now a big concern for me
