Thinking about becoming a nighttime ballerina
I’m seriously thinking about becoming a stripper/dancer in Connecticut mainly for some extra money, and I’m trying to learn how things actually work before making a decision. I’m 5’4 and around 112–113 lbs, so I’m more on the petite/slim side.
I have a few questions for dancers or people familiar with clubs in CT:
• Which clubs are beginner-friendly and actually safe?
• What are auditions usually like for someone with no experience?
• How much do dancers usually have to pay in house fees/tip-outs?
• Is the money realistically good for beginners?
• What are red flags I should watch out for?
• Are there clubs I should avoid completely?
• What should I expect on my first night?
I’m not looking for judgment, just honest advice and information from people with experience.
