In the books (and the show), The Mad King completely unleashes an atrocity upon Brandon & Rickard Stark. When Brandon Stark questions Aerys about Lyanna’s whereabouts, he seizes him for treason. When Rickard comes in aid of Brandon, he puts Rickard into a trial by combat… vs literal fire. Aerys then burns Rickard alive while Brandon is forced watching while being strangled with a tyroshi strangling device. Brandon succumbed to strangulation not long after. Aerys then chose to set the whole kingdom on fire — Jamie heard this & put an end to the Mad King. So why does Ned have a deep hatred for Jamie? The constant mocking with Kingslayer? He literally avenged your family? I know they don’t get along but in the scene with Brienne in the bath(water?) he speaks about this. Even when they meet in Kings Landing Ned speaks to Jamie in disgust about the origins of “Kingslayer”. Doesn’t make much sense to me

Let’s say Daemon was around 30 at the start of GOT, who would he follow? Would he eventually be executed or sent to the Wall? Or would he prevail against the Baratheons/Lannisters? Would he find Danaerys & help her secure the Iron Throne?

I believe D&D completely flunked out with that part of the plot and got it all wrong obviously due to the fact that Rhaegar already had a kid named Aegon, Lyanna most definitely knew who Aegon (Rhaegar’s child) was & wouldn’t have named Jon Aegon (because who tf would name their kid after their husbands other kid) & just the parallel eerie fairy-tale-like relationship between Jon & Aemon it just made sense plot wise with Aemon being Jon’s enlightened counselor-like figure & teacher.

Let’s say hypothetically Daenerys Targaryen & Rhaenyra Targaryen were both alive at the same time & both gunning for the Iron Throne, who would come out on top? (All their storylines are still there i.e Daenerys has 3 dragon eggs, Rhaenyra has Daemon, etc)
