I just wanted to share my experience with juniors who are about to buy a laptop for college.When I was buying mine, I got completely attracted to gaming laptops. The RGB, RTX 4050, high refresh rate display, gaming benchmarks—everything looked amazing. I convinced myself that I needed a gaming laptop because "what if I start gaming?"So I bought a **Lenovo LOQ (RTX 4050)**.

Fast forward to today, I'm mainly doing DSA, coding, and college work. Reality hit me pretty hard.

The laptop weighs around **3 kg with the charger**. Carrying it to college every day is tiring.

The charger itself is huge and heavy.

For maximum performance, and even light task you almost always have to keep it plugged in.

It's great for gaming, but not the most convenient machine for a student who carries it everywhere.

Since buying it, I've probably played only 40–50 hours of games in total.

That's it.

The laptop spends 99% of its time running VS Code, Chrome with 20 tabs, LeetCode, and YouTube.

Looking back, I honestly think I would've been happier with something like a MacBook Air (if macOS fits your workflow) or a lightweight Windows laptop like a Samsung Galaxy Book, ASUS Zenbook, or similar. Better battery life, much lighter, quieter, and far more comfortable for daily college use.

I'm not saying gaming laptops are bad. If you're genuinely into gaming, game development, 3D rendering, AI/ML with heavy local training, or other GPU-intensive work, they absolutely make sense.

But if you're buying one just because it looks cool or because you think you'll game a lotthink twice.

Cp worth more in iit -nits... As there alot of big product companies come but here in this shit I don't think it's worth? Need opinion?

Specifically for computer engineering

1. how is exams compared to first year.

2)attendence

3. faculty

4. gpa scoring tougher than fy?

5. classess are more than fy Or same?

6. student will reshuffle?(I don't think it happen because gmail and pod everywhere they link prn)

And etc things....

So I have earn money in a task website but there is no option of upi so I can't withdraey it so I want one paypal user for it to withdraw it and be loyal if some scaming things happen I will do a complain to paypal so yeah thats it.

Hey guys I just completed first year and start with dsa through striver and grinding it really hard that it will help me in job a much but after seeing this sub I m totally flutterd wtf is going in job market...is really grinding a dsa and all doesn't matter ... If it is yes then who r taking that job.. Iit nit valo ko chod do voh toh lege hi lekin wht abt tier 3 tier 4 pvt colleges... Now feeling like us time jee me 20-30 marks jyada hote toh 93 se 98 ban jata ache nit me land krte yeh job market vala dar toh nhi rehta bc... jis bhi domain me jao sala iit nit vale hi dikhte quant me bhi iit nit faang bhi vohi kha rhe top startup he toh voh saala ctc 5-6 rakhte bc is we really cooked in tier 3-4??? Guys
