Looking for a children’s picture book about a giant man who lived on the river
Picture book I read as a child around 2001–2008. Main character is a huge man that’s like 30-40 feet tall, wears a plaid shirt, has dark hair but no beard, kinda lanky, lives alone in a giant house near a river, travels by boat, helps harvest potatoes, and each story is about him helping neighbors. One story involves him putting out a house fire. I think he lived in a huge giant house as well.
Edit: it was vivid, oil canvas type paintings as the pictures in the book, and my mom believes it was called “big Jim” but I can’t find anything about it online.
