Yuri game developer forced to delay new title after Japanese banks reject Steam revenue transfers

>According to the developer, as part of recently tightening screenings of international bank transfers (aimed at preventing money laundering and the like), they were asked by their bank – SBI Shinsei Bank – to provide documentation about their transactions. After they complied, the bank determined that “part of the revenue was related to adult-oriented content” and refused to process transfers. Takii Noame said they were informed of this explicitly via phone call.

That feeling when you're several pics into a photo shoot, and realize you forgot to change the nails

Anyone know what the story here is?

I'm pretty sure in China this makes sense. But I'm not from China. Anyone know if all this is a reference to a legend, or something from history?

Remember the... routed camp, the guarding soldiers, the filial vow, the high morale, the Shang Guard.

Selector won't let me change the selection.

Title says it all. For whatever reason, Chie is selected when I bring up the options. I love her, but I already got that one. I want Little Red Riding Karen. But it won't change, no matter how much I try. I've tried on both PC and my Android tablet. Any ideas how to fix this?

UPDATE: Problem fixed... I first had to tap on Chie to make her un-selected.

How successful do you think NtE will be in the long run?

It's been a couple months. The honeymoon period has worn off. We've had time to see both the good and bad of NtE.

Certainly there are good points. The graphics are nice. The city has lots of detail. Combat is fine for a more casual experience. Characters tend to have personality. Some of the anomaly encounters can be downright spooky! Sometimes the writing can be really good. The gacha is on the generous side.

But not all is good. PvP modes are not well balanced. Cars could handle better. The UI is difficult to go through on a controller. There are too many menus and systems and sub-menus with more systems. Sometimes the writing can be awful. The pacing of a story can be bad. Some anomalies and quests can be impossible to figure without a guide. Movement options locked to certain characters. The Bond system is inconsistent, with some characters having zero development. The grind is time consuming and tedious.

999 Nights raised the bar in both writing and presentation. It is easily the best NtE has to offer so far. But 999 Nights also highlights a worry of mine - we only got it now because Chapter 6 was delayed to make changes. Apparently, some people were not happy with how dark chapter 5 got, and with Nanally's fate. So Hotta is condensing a few chapters into one to wrap up the arc. Besides that, they also toned down the appearance of Irio and Zankou because of negative feedback. It's creating a feeling that Hotta will back down instead of sticking to their guns. I fear the game will become mostly fluff slice-of-life and lose much of the horror that drew me to the game.

Also in the not distant future there will be some serious competition. Ananta, Silver Palace, and Wang Yue are coming. Each shows a lot of promise, and are highly anticipated. And Hoyo revealed Varsapura, a horror themed game in development, though that is still some years out.

SO... my prediction... NtE does some things well, some things not well. It certainly had a much better launch than Tower of Fantasy. But it has issues, some that need serious work to iron out, and some so deeply rooted I doubt they'll be addressed. In the end, I feel NtE will only be a moderate success.

I like how generous Murphy's Misadventures is with giving out free Sinners.

EDIT: I'm a dork. The Sinners were only unlocked for the event, not for general use. Sorry for any confusion.

Okay, sure, they're just A and B ranks, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're weak. And for an old timer like me, I already had them all maxed Shackles. But for newer players it must be very helpful. And most of them are actually pretty decent Sinners on their own. A couple very good in specific teams.

Thanks for the generosity, Aisno.

It's Sunday. Was maintenance scheduled for today?

Title says it all. Tried to log into game, got told servers are under maintenance. That usually happens on Tuesday, not Sunday.

Anyone else annoyed that 999 Nights skips Chapter 6?

As people should know by now, 999 Nights skips over Chapter 6. Chapter 5, aka 1.1, ended on a bit of a cliffhanger. Things were not resolved. 999 Nights begins with people talking about what an adventure it was and how things are looking good again.

Hello, Hotta... SPOILERS! I don't want to know how things get resolved before Chapter 6 is released!

So, 999 Nights is the interlude between Chapters 6 & 7? Then release it AFTER Chapter 6!

While I am loving the event, it is genuinely a funny parody of RPG tropes. I am also very annoyed they spoiled Chapter 6. This really makes me worry that such things will happen again in the future, which seriously takes away from the fun if I already know how something ends.

What an unusual pulling experience.

So I pulled for this banner, as I always do. Gotta arrest 'em all!

Anyway... I got Clem in 2 pulls. Not bad. But no Forensica. Okay, no problem. Pull again... and again... and again... Clem. WTF? Why is it so hard to get the A-Rank??? Two more pulls, finally get Forensica.

Weird, eh? Usually you expect to get the A-Rank a couple times before you get the S-Rank.

But hey, at least I got Clem to S1.

I worked out about where the intro image is.

I figure it was a little outside the abandoned mansion. I had to send the drone up pretty high to capture the angle. If I had panned the camera just a couple degrees more left it would have been nearly a perfect match.

My biggest criticism of NtE

NtE isn't a perfect game, no game is, but there are things that could have been done better. Perhaps my biggest criticism (yes, even more than Taygedo) is all the f-ing menus and sub-menus and sub-sub menus.

For example... to claim a companion time-limited quest you have to

  1. bring up main menu
  2. select Event icon
  3. select the Hourglass
  4. select Zero's Companion tab
  5. select Target Reward tab
  6. select Companion Quest tab
  7. select Time-Limited Quest tab

That is SEVEN steps! Just for one reward! And to make it even worse, the Companion Quest rewards do not have a Claim All button, so you have to claim each one individually. And to add insult to injury, the list of rewards does not put claims on top, forcing you to scroll down to make sure you got everything.

This is probably the worst case, but there are other systems that are hardly much better. And there are SO MANY systems in this game. After a bit of time playing, you can rack up so many red dots to hunt down! More isn't always better, and can in fact be worse.

I play on PC with a keyboard and mouse. I can only imagine how much more of pain this is to navigate with a gamepad.

Much as I'm enjoying NtE otherwise, it really could use some Quality of Life improvements.
