My New Tortie Baby!!
Meet Ankha- My first girl and my first hands-on experience with Tortitude! She is an absolute sweetheart, but whoo-boy do I gotta brace myself when that spicy side comes out. 😅
She landed on my mom’s doorstep seemingly out of nowhere. From the moment I saw her, I knew I’d end up taking her in. I had never met kitten so friendly and social towards all kinds of people. My boys are skittish and shy, so having a spunky cat was different than what I was used to. I had been thinking about getting my one boy a companion at some point and she seemed like a perfect fit. Someone clearly had her once and now she was out there fending for herself. Little did we know, she was diagnosed with a heart murmur, ear mites AND an ear infection, a flea infestation and tapeworm. To top it off, she was pregnant at 4-5 months old, most likely during her first heat cycle. The vet and I agreed that the pregnancy posed a risk to her current health and size. She was recently spayed and lives a safe life indoors with me.
My fiancée joked for the longest time about a random kitten showing up since my hometown area is a CDS hotspot. He ended up regretting making that joke when she first showed up. He swore the cutoff was 2 and a that 3rd cat would most likely not happen. Welp, needless to say she won his heart and she now makes up a 3rd member of the cat crew. 🥰
