Positive dermatologist experiences? What does it look like?

Does anyone have a positive experience with dermatology? How often do you see them when flared? Do they help you identify triggers?

Thanks

chat gpt for ingredient comparisons - cleaning supply cleanout

after a horrible 2 years, I just did an "elimination" diet for our cleaning supplies / lotions.

I just switched back to free and clear everything with the fewest ingredients possible and just vaseline instead of lotion.

Seeing an improvement, I started reading the ingredient lists on the worst offending cleaners to look for overlap.

Decided to type the products into Chat GPT and ask it to either find shared ingredients (to identify triggers) and then search my other products for those ingredients as well. Update -- make sure to double check the recommendation to make sure it's not hallucinating. .

helpful! just thought I'd share with this list in case it helps anyone.

best care provider? allergist? derm? pcp? other?

We are striking out with derm. 2+ years of ongoing topical steroids + biologics with worsening symptoms.

What care provider was most helpful with your eczema?

PCP we can see more often but doesn't know much about derm. Allergist is focused on food/environmentals. Trying to get another derm opinion to see if we should change course with treatment. I would appreciate hearing what health advice partner has been useful for others with chronic eczema.

We finally got a new clothes washer and don’t have to go to the laundromat anymore, and that’s had a positive effect.

Turns out I was correct that the trace perfumes and soap leftover in shared machines was triggering a contact reaction.

Wanted to share in case that helps anyone.

I’ve been troubleshooting my 17 year old Samsung front load washer which stopped draining (I replaced ed the pump motors and cleared all the drain lines). Is this an indication something is broken behind the tub?

On one of these clean out efforts, suddenly there was gravel in the tub drain and lint clean out and I can hear the sound of gravel or rocks when I spin the drum.

We don’t recall washing anything with gravel or mud…

OP here -- Definitely seems like the Spider Arm broke down. Thanks Reddit. Will sort out next steps.
