I am really lost (Echoes of the Eye)

Ok so I have made my way to all 3 forbidden archives and found all 3 bug reports. Using the one that shows you go “out of bounds” if you jump in the water at a transition I was able to get to the middle lock.

Using the one that shows how to get out of simulation distance I was able to see some platforms that lead to the way to unlock the first lock, but I don’t know what to do with that Because I can’t even reach the first one.

I know that for the third lock i have to somehow turn off that light beam coming from above, but for the life of me I can’t figure out how.

I also don’t know how the tape that shows that if you die near the fire with the artifact you still get transported to the simulation could be of any use to me.

I think i have explored everything, so I know I have all the pieces, but I have no idea how to fit them together

EDIT. Yeah i got it. God I’m stupid

I’ve gotten to this part at least 5 times and I still can’t figure out what to do

I know I have to get to the fireplace, but the inhabitants catch me every time. I tried going straight on hoping the shadowy guy would be different but no. I tried going around but then another inhabitant runs to me and I’m stuck in a corner. Trying to bait the shadowy guy out seems unlikely too.

EDIT: i figured it out. Kinda forgot that this is a puzzle game so i was not looking for the solution to the puzzle lmao

My Interpretation of the Meaning of the Game

I still haven’t played the DLC, but I’d like to share my thoughts.

I think this game is ultimately about looking for purpose in a universe that lacks an innate meaning or direction; it teaches to stop waiting for the Universe to “give you a sign” and just try to find purpose in what you enjoy.

The Nomai were initially guided to the game’s solar system to look for the Eye of the Universe, in pursuit of knowledge. They thought the Universe was sending them a sign (they literally personified the Universe, giving it and “eye”), but by the end of the game we learn that the Eye is nothing more than a natural phenomenon, (at least the way I see it) incapable of giving meaning. It can’t inherently give direction, yet the Nomai found purpose in their craft;

Throughout the game I couldn’t help but notice the excitement and joy in the scriptures about building impressive creations like the Orbital Cannon on Giant’s Deep and most of all the Ash Twin Project. Despite their end goal being ultimately not what they were expecting (and despite not being able to reach it before their extinction) they still found something to work towards that gave them purpose and most importantly joy.

And that brings us to the Hearthians. They’re relatively less advanced than the Nomai, but unlike them they sought purpose without waiting for a sign. Ultimately they wanted to explore the solar system and uncover Nomai history, and that’s what they did, managing to step foot on every major planet (saving the Interloper and Hollow’s Lantern) and uncovering several Nomai ruins.

Finally, there’s the player, You. The player character doesn’t have a known goal, because it’s You that must find your purpose in the game. Maybe You want to find out everything about the Nomai, or maybe You just want to know why the loop is happening and how to stop it. Maybe you just want to know where all your predecessors went, or maybe you want to investigate only the crazy technology the Nomai left behind without asking yourself how they perished.

I love this game

Important question

>!I’m 99% sure this is what sends me (or my memories) back in time by 22 minutes after the sun goes supernova. My question is, if I remove it and the sun goes supernova, do I lose ALL my memories (meaning the data I have acquired in previous loops that is stored in the computer on the ship), or just the ones i’ve made THIS loop? Logically I’d just lose the ones from this loop because the Ashtwin project can’t send those specifically, but I’m still afraid to lose hours of gameplay.!<

What is this in the BHF?

i thought it signalled when>! Brittle Hollow and Ash Twin were aligned so that the warp pad could activate!< but by setting the scout there the timings do not match up

Do I brute force it?

hi, I’m new to the game (about 4 hours played). I’m exploring Brittle Hollow and I want to get to the Black Hole Forge. I just need to know, do I brute force it and fly there with my ship or will I find another way to get there in the future.

From what I understand this is not a linear game AT ALL, so I can imagine there is no “wrong way” of doing something, but I can also imagine that there is a more refined way to do it.

I read in the Nomai writing that the Ash Twin might be important, but I think i want to explore that later
