I'm considering adding Hell is Us on my backlog. I can't find enough information about the Secret Code DLC however. What does it do? Apparently gives you a code that you can use somewhere.

My question is whether the code unlocks content, or is it a crutch giving you some extra ammo and resources to start with. Kinda like the Cronos: The New Dawn Deluxe Edition.
