Recommendations for quick Calgary/canmore trip
Looking for recommendations for a very quick trip. My partner and I are going to Canmore for a wedding in July. We have a bit of free time that we want to take advantage of.
Friday - plane gets in around 8am, planning to drive to Banff and spend most of the day there. We do want to ride one of the gondolas, from what I’ve researched I think Banff sunshine meadows is what we’re leaning towards. Any other must see places that we can squeeze in? We have to be back in Canmore around 4pm to get ready for a pre-wedding dinner.
Saturday - planning to spend the day in Canmore. Has anyone done the grassi lakes hike? I’ve read it’s relatively easy but wondering how long it takes. The wedding is at 4pm and we need some time beforehand to get ready. Any other must see things in Canmore?
Sunday - planning on heading to Calgary around lunch time and have to be at the airport around 11pm so we have a good chunk of the day to do stuff.
Unfortunately we have limited time and won’t be able to see lake Louise or the ice fields highway this trip. But ultimately looking for feedback and suggestions for restaurants, sights, activities, etc.
