I did something.

One of my clients found an old and very dusty chair covered in fake leather and grime on their attic. I still need to do some blind stitching, (there is a lot of it on the back of the chair), but otherwise I am pretty happy with the result.

I am self taught. I started collecting chairs many years ago, but only started upholstering 6 months ago when I had to spend some time at home. I find it very relaxing to be creative, work with my hands and when everything works out well end up with a decent looking chair. Every time I am shocked by the fabric costs, but I have noticed that the more expensive fabric is easier to work with. (luckily if you work on one chair you can buy leftovers at a discount)

Any thoughts and tips are welcome!

COPAL 222

I found this clock on the street, 20 years ago. About 5 years ago it stopped working, but I kept it. Sticking to my general I have never done, but I think I can do this, opened up the clock, cleaned it oiled the motor and replaced the neon light. I hadn't soldered anything in over 30 years, but I managed to make it work again. Hopefully it will run for another 50 years :-)

WIP

A friend found this old dusty chair in their attic. I have worked on several chairs before, so I told her I'd happily give this one a go when she offered it as a gift. (Yay!)

Two days later I am really happy with where this little project is heading. The only problem is that I might have to start selling chairs, since the house is slowly starting to look like a mid century chair museum😅

I will have to blind stitch quite a lot on this chair. I have done a backrest twice, but this will be 5x as much. Any tips are welcome. I was thinking id just staple everything in place and slowly work my way through it with a needle and thread.

What did I catch flying in front of the Moon?

Yesterday I was playing around in the backyard with my 114x900 newt, 6mm ep. I took some videos to try and figure out how to work with Autostacker. While reviewing I suddenly noticed something flying through the screen. Could this be a bat? Or is it something else? Thank you in advance!

wait for it: top right corner

I am desperately running out of space on my Lego shelf😅 luckily forests look good when dense, but if anybody has an idea on how to fit more, I would be very grateful!
