I was driving on the M11 yesterday out of London towards Cambridge and there was a section where temporary signs at the right of the road said the speed limit was 40. However, I was the only one who paid attention and lowered my speed to the new limit. Everyone else rushed past me. A lorry behind me got up close and beeped and flashed his lights, cars tailgated me aggressively and beeped as they went past. It was really stressful. I was just following the rules. What happened here? Did I make a mistake?
