Online school- Should I do it?

Hi everyone,

I just found a school that is online and less than 6 months for sug tech. Admissions said after completion of the program, I am eligible to sit for the Nationally Registered Surgical Technologist (NRST) exam through American Allied Health (AAH) or the Tech in Surgery (TS-C) through National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) certification exam.

Is this something I should be cautious about ?

What are the pros and cons about a program like this?

UWORLD/ CMS

Hi Docs,

For test takers who completed Step 2 ck, which resource would you say is more indicative of the real test. CMS or Uworld.

If Uworld, can I skip Uworld and just do CMS forms?

Thank you for your guidance. I'm open to other suggestions as well.

What are the mini principles on step exams?

For example?

  1. patient in the stem has unstablevitals the most aggressive answer choice (ex lap, intubation, Cath lab, etc)
  2. the patient is stable, figure out the diagnosis first.
  3. Stable infection = culture first.
  4. Unstable infection = antibiotics first.

Are there any others?
