YOU can send Ethel Caterham an 117th birthday wish! (PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION)

Hello everybody!

I am happy to announce that, for the first time, YOU, yes YOU, dear Redditor, have the chance to send the oldest living person a birthday wish!

Essentially, I am part of a group called "The 110 Club", an online forum of longevity and supercentenarian fans.

Every few months, we host "Birthday wishes", essentially events where people can send birthday wishes to some of the oldest living people!

As Ethel is pretty popular/well known on this Subreddit, we've decided that for her very, very special upcoming 117th birthday on August 21st, people on here can send a birthday wish!

I have included all the proof that this is a legitimate event and that I have explicit permission from both Longeviquest and The 110 Club.

The rules are and MUST be followed:

  1. The deadline for the collection is 9am GMT 14th August 2026. All wishes will then be collated and sent to Ethel in time for 21st August.
  2. PLEASE include your name - even a nickanem is fine rather than username and your country at the end of your message, as it will mean far more to Ethel and her family/care team to know where in the world her wishes are from. If you don’t include your name and country… your wish WILL NOT be included in the collection.
  3. DO NOT write about milestones or other SC’s for her to surpass in your message… please just a nice birthday wish for her to enjoy.

ANY rude, inconsiderate or inappropriate messages will not be included.

If you do not wish to publicly post your name or country, that is FINE. I have set up a private email which you can email the message and your details to:

ethel117thbirthday@gmail.com

Assuming this post doesn't get deleted, happy posting! :)

Game running TERRIBLY

Used to easily get 120fps+ on max graphics and whatnot, now (since about 2 months ago). I'm barely getting 50fps on the lowest graphics.

Anybody else having these issues?

Been curious about this for a few years now but the doctors have never been concerned or anything.

Background information:

Currently 19 male, used to (from age 12 to 16) get migraines with auras (about one every few weeks). These migraines were basically pain free and the aura was always near the centre of my vision and would last about an hour with flashing lights and other visual symptoms (included blurry vision for a while during and after the migraine).

Now, about every 10 - 12 months (on average) I get a visual aura either on the left or right side of my vision. These auras are different when it comes to the migraine auras I used to get, looking more like a bullet/flower shape and being golden/black/blueish. I can also see them at night time say against the black sky or when I close my eyes, appearing to slightly "shimmer" or appear as a golden/purple colour. These usually last again a few days to a week and then they start to slowly fade and eventually go away. Any idea what they may be? I have no pain or other symptoms with them.

I also had an MRI when I was 12 and that was clear and these ones started happening after the others went away.
