First of…man it’s like we can’t get a break. It took me so long to get my permit and not this.

Got married, changed my last name, got my permit and went in to the Social Security office here in Georgia weeks ago for a new card. Haven’t heard back, and no card in the mail. I went in to try to get my DL changed from Tx to Georgia and they said they couldn’t find me. Went to a SS office, they told me I was under investigation for more verification, told me to wait, I waited, I called and then said to give them them one more week because they sent it to S.A.V.E CaseCheck. Went in to my S.A.V.E account, no case was submitted. Called Social security office today, they said everything was in order in their end, to wait ANOTHER week. But she said that if that didn’t work I had to go in to the office on the next available appointment….MAY 28!

Has anyone gone through this? Any advice? It would be greatly appreciated.

6 MONTHS to get the permit, and now going to almost 3 months without being able to apply for a job waiting for permits to renew and social security card to arrive yall im tired.
