Genuine lizard phobia — how do I keep them out?
Hey everyone,
A bit off-topic, but I really need some advice on how to stop lizards from getting into the house. I have a genuine phobia of them — not just discomfort, but full-on panic/fainting levels of fear.
I’m already extremely careful about keeping doors closed, and all my windows have mesh screens installed specifically to prevent them from entering. But lately, they’ve somehow still been getting inside, and it’s becoming really stressful for me. Twice now I’ve nearly fainted and had to call my landlord to help remove them (they know about my phobia and have honestly been incredibly kind about it).
I’d really appreciate any practical tips that actually work for keeping lizards away or preventing them from entering in the first place. Also, has anyone tried pest control for this? Does it help at all?
P.S. I have a cat, and he somehow always ends up spotting the lizard before I do 😭
