Hey everyone, I’m a bioengineering student with a focus on computational biology and I’ve been thinking about potentially working or doing grad school in Spain. I wanted to ask people who are already in the field or familiar with the market—how is it actually out there right now?
Is there solid demand for computational biology / bioinformatics roles, or is it more academic-heavy with limited industry opportunities? Also, how competitive is it to land a job, especially for someone coming from outside Spain?
I’ve seen mixed things about salaries and growth, so I’m curious about real experiences—like job availability, pay, and overall career progression.
Any insight would really help 🙏
