I’ve just booked an appointment (!!) to see her (!! Yay !!) since she was listed as being one of three in SA that can prescribe HRT via informed consent, and she was the only doctor that doesn’t require referral (my GP refused to refer me and I cbf to find a whole other GP for it that will only probably refer me, plus her waitlist turned out being shorter anyway).

I’m hoping someone here might be able to personally confirm for me that she can and does in fact prescribe HRT or tell me about their experience with her since I wasn’t able to find any anecdotal evidence/stories about her and I’m half paranoid the conversation will go like this:

Dr. Batt: so, what did you want to see me about today?
Me (nevously shaking pre-T transmasc buzzcut stereotype): I’m interested in discussing the informed consent pathway to hormone replacement therapy…
Dr. Batt: the what…?
Me: I saw the medical centre’s website said you have an interest in LGBTQIA+ health and undertook additional training to be able to prescribe HRT via-
Dr. Batt (peeling off her hyper-realistic latex mask and revealing my other GP wielding a bat): GUARDS!!

… So, any personal experience confirming she’s for real−and especially any describing what she’s like and what to expect−would be really, really appreciated! :) Thanks!
