Palmo inspired by German City?
I just started watching the second season of Andor. When I saw the city of Palmo for the first time, the structure kinda reminded me of a city close to where I live.
The city is called Saarlouis.
Brief summary by Google of the town:
Saarlouis was founded in 1680 on the orders of French King Louis XIV as a fortified garrison town. Designed by the legendary military engineer Vauban, it remains the only German city founded by a French monarch. Its name literally translates to "Louis's River" and reflects its deep, enduring French heritage.
The language of Ghorman, Ghor, sounds very much like French. So that could also be a connection.
It may be a far stretch to say Palmo is inspired by Saarlouis, however. I do see similarities though.
What do you think?
