Assam's 4 disjoint constituencies
- 21 - Bhawanipur Sorbhog (A) is disjoint from 21 - Bhawanipur-Sorbhog B.
- Similarly, 23-Chenga (A) is disjoint from 23-Chenga B. 23-Chenga C is naturally disjoint as they are perhaps islands of the Bhramaputra (marked in red, and disjointness could be ignored. It's important to note that 23-Chenga A and 23-Chenga B are part of the same landmass.
- 50-Mangaldai is a constituency that is again disjoint.
- 51-Mangaldai is again a disjoint constituency, with A being disjoint from B, despite both being on the same contiguous landmass. Here, C are islands that can be ignored.
Results: Upon analysing the results:
- 21-Bhawanipur Sorbhog's winner - BJP, Ranjeet Kumar Dass
- 23-Chenga's winner - Congress, Jakir Hussain Sikdar
- 50-Mangaldai's winner - BJP, Nilima Devi
- 51-Dalgaon's winner - AIUDF, Mazibur Rehman
Except for Pondicherry, I haven't seen/heard of a disjoint constituency in other states. (some disjointness is forced like exclaves and enclaves and also islands, but this doesn't seem to be the case here).
