What is this jelly-like substance?
My starter kind of developed this after running out of flour and because I hadn't fed it for like 4 days after being super active and using it. I just covered it and it died down. It started forming this jelly like cap, but there is no mold on it, or streaks, or anything I've seen pictures of online, and its just a cap that i scraped off then fed again, and it went back to being super crazy and active!
It developed this again with no mold, should i be worried? We've eaten sourdough from this and are fine. Please tell me if I'm going to poison myself or if I'm good.
