I am looking at purchasing a 335d currently, an F30 if I am not mistaken (it’s a 2017 plate). I was wondering if you could give me any advice, I am browsing forums online just to try and get some insight but reddits been more of a help in the past so I came to ask you again. I drive 68 miles a day minimum mainly motorway driving them the last 3/4 miles is local/30mph roads. I have an a3 2.0 TDI currently but came across the 335d and I feel I could have more fun and a more comfortable drive.
Edit1: i average 20-25k miles a year.

Hello Redditors,
So I am currently looking for my weekend/fun car, and I have come across a mk7 gti with 136k miles. The seller had its gear box replaced at a friends garage and told him he’s selling it. I was wondering what I should look for. P.S it was stolen and repossessed with keys. This js heavily putting me off it but I thought for that price would it not be a bargain? I first saw it a few months back and at that time it was all good mechanically, my friend has said if I’m interested he’d pop it on his ramp and take a good look again. Also I asked for the timing chain and he was willing to sort me out by doing it himself for a discounted rate.
Edit: The car is listed for £6000 I offered £4500 due to the history of the car and no service history. He’s not said no to the offer but reached out to Reddit to see your opinion.
