Attorney Advisor with Executive Office of Immigration Review (DOJ)
Has anyone seen any movement or been recently hired for an Attorney Advisor position with the EOIR/DOJ? I understand that the wait for federal hiring is often brutal and unpredictable, but any insight would be great. The court I interviewed for is in my hometown, and I have already accepted another job in the private sector in another city/state. However, I am still holding out on the possibility of establishing a federal career at home.
I applied back in late February and was emailed the following month for an interview, which I completed in late March. They told me they would make a decision the following week, but were unsure of what/how long the process would be after that. The interview was stated to only be one round, and included an attorney advisor and a judge. I sent a follow up email days later to thank them, no response from either. I reached out to the judge at the five week mark to politely ask where the process stands and if there were any updates, but once again received no response. Application just says received on USAJOBS.
