So I've been working entirely in another department for 6 months, but I'm still getting paid my original department's rate which is lower.

I've asked about the pay raise constantly, but HR always told me that "it's coming"

It was only last month that they finally gave me the paperwork to sign that declared that I've entered my new department officially (even though I've been working this new department for half a year already).

Will I be eligible for retroactive pay? HR told me that no since I never signed the official paperwork until 1 month ago.

So around a month ago I moved to a department that pays higher than my previous department.

However, I'm still getting paid my old department's lower rate.

Management told me that it takes around 3 weeks for the pay raise to take effect, but nothing happened yet, and when I tried to talk to HR and other management they had no clue.

Anyone have experience regarding moving to a different department and getting paid a different rate? I'm not sure how it works at Shoprite.

What's it like being a pharmacy technician?

I heard it's a lot of answering calls, dealing with insurance, fulling prescriptions, but how do you guys working as tech feel about the job?

So I've been working at my store for a little less than 3 years, am part of the union, yet my pay is still just around $16.

My home department is cashier, but I've been working everywhere these past few years such as grocery, scanning, CGO, OPD, customer service, bakery, produce, carts, practically the entire store.

Some weeks I only work 1 day as cashier and rest of the week I'm in other departments.

I've asked my store managers and they said that I'm still classified as cashier so I only qualify for the yearly union raise.

I've tried to transfer over to other departments, but these departments claim that my schedule doesn't work with them (which is BS to begin with since they're always hiring people) so I'm stuck as cashier.

Would it be appropriate to ask again for a raise, or should I just leave?
