I'm so tired of society being based on mass consumerism and cancel culture.

This isn't news for anyone, but I just wanted to express my frustration about the world we live in. People are becoming more and more like sheep blindly following a herd, and it's not okay at all.

People are so entwined with such a negative feeding mindset online and it's protruding into the real world more each day. People have always demonised any opinion that threatens their values, but it just seems to more exaggerated with each passing day.

I am so fed up with the way things are, I have removed myself from most social media as it is too chaotic and brain washing, as it is so hard to find safe spaces online to communicate freely with others in an honest, caring and open way.

People seem so addicted to cancel culture, putting others down to be noticed, and being funny rather than intelligent. Where is the substance, and the curiosity, the ambition to learn and grow? Social media is designed to make whoever is "in charge" more money and control, and it is so evident that we are just cogs in the machine, rats in a cage, spinning the wheel, generating profit. It's so so obvious, yet any action against it seems so hopeless. I can no longer play part in this fucked up game, the internet should be used for evolution of humanity, innovation, creativity, sharing ideas of useful knowledge, and connecting with others in a meaningful way, but it is all just fake bullshit, and it seems that it will always be that way.

They make too much revenue from clicks, likes, and views. We are just a product in their game and I am sick of it, as I know a lot of others feel the same way. I suppose I just wanted to express myself and see if others actually feel as I do, and maybe we can all start a chain reaction in time, to hopefully make a small difference for the best of our future. I will most likely be deleting Reddit shortly.

I just wish the best for everyone in this world, and I wish there would be more kindness, compassion, love, and understanding.
