Oh yeah pretty sure he saw me looking out the window from the way he looks directly in my direction at one point. I know other corvids like scrub jays are famous for this type of behavior. Shows how intelligent they are. I forget what its called and why its not described as empathy, I guess cause empathy is feeling based but not many animals can “imagine” if you will what things look like from the perspective of another animal. At least that’s what we say but science still has a lot to learn about animals, for instance there are studies that show certain spiders who tackle prey as large as themselves may feign retreat if the struggle isn’t going there way, go around an object and sneak up behind their prey to attack again. Maybe even wolf spiders have mirror neurons hahaha.
