First time buying a home and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. Although I'm working with a realtor, I'd love to hear others' thoughts and processes on offers.

For instance, I'm looking at a home in Vancouver that is $750k and has been sitting for 2 months now. Price has been steadily decreasing so I'm thinking of offering lower - but how low? $650k? $675k? $690k? I've been looking at numbers so much that they've lost meaning to me.

My understanding is that if I offer too little, then the risk is the seller not willing to negotiate at all. These days with the buyers' market and the price decreases, what is your strategy?
