Lady of the Waters
I live in South Africa nearby an abandoned mine dump, where there's a small river in the midst.
Last year, one of the houses from the nearby neighborhood was hosting a party which continued till late night. An old woman approached them to complain about the loud music, saying that it's interfering her "waters" which obviously didn't make sense to them especially as drunk partygoers, so they dismissed her. And she told them "You will see" before leaving, then the following day there was heavy rain which damaged their house and those nearby.
Fast-forward to last week when it was very cold in South Africa with temperatures dropping to less than 0 degrees celsius. Both my neighbors were outside close to midnight for a quick cigarette smoke, then noticed a woman wearing a dress climbing down the mine dump with her head facing sideways the whole time. They found it strange that she's wearing just a dress in such cold weathers close to midnight, so they curiously called her and she never responded, then saw her walk to the rivers which was also strange.
So today in the morning, I decided to do my own investigation by crossing nearby those rivers shouting, "WATER WOMAN", then after getting bored with the river, I climbed up the mine dump going higher and higher as I shouted "HELLO". I returned with nothing but some 2 interesting clues:
The 1st interesting clue is that the higher I climbed, I heard a bird's chirping at a unique rhythm that even tempted me to follow the sound. And the 2nd interesting clue as I was leaving was a man I passed who was pushing a wheelbarrow whom I even greeted normally and noticed that his eyes are abnormal (white-ish). These don't really prove anything though, could've been a normal bird chirping and just a man with eye damage.
What do you guys think could be this water woman, and if this man was just random when I tried to investigate?
