Something I’ve been noticing around early-stage ideas:
They don’t usually fail suddenly.
There’s no clear moment where everything collapses.
Instead, they slowly fade out.
Less time spent on it.
Fewer updates.
More “I’ll get back to this later.”
Until eventually… it’s just not a priority anymore.
What’s interesting is that this doesn’t always happen because the idea was bad.
Sometimes it’s because:
– there’s no clear next step
– progress feels unclear
– or the effort starts feeling disconnected from results
And without small signs of progress, it becomes really easy to lose momentum.
By the time you realise it, the idea is still there — but the energy isn’t.
