I did a search in this sub and saw a lot of saved corrupted, but not a ton of people talking about saves just being lost.
I only have about 12 hours in the game (I'm busy, okay?), but I love it, and I've been telling folks to get it. I first played the demo and about an hour of the game itself on my PC, then switched to my deck. When I tried to go back to my pc... nothing on my deck transferred, and opening the file on my PC overwrote that previous save.
Okay, that sucks, but it wasn't the end of the world. Obviously something weird happened with the cloud save between my deck and PC. I decided I was only going to play on the deck (truly the perfect deck game) and continued on. I got the Unlock Milk Factory and Unlock Weeny Bridge achievement.
But when I went to play last night... it's gone. I'm back before beating the first bridge. I didn't do anything, my deck hasn't left my wifi (truly hasn't even left the office), I haven't tried to start it on my PC again, nothing.
I'm guessing there is maybe something wrong with this save file overall, and I need to start a new one, but I'm pretty bummed to basically be going through the same content for a third time. I've seen people getting access to their backup saves on their PC, but haven't found anyone successfully doing it on the deck. I really enjoy this game and I wanted it to be my brainless relaxer this summer, but if I can't reliably keep my save file it's way more frustration than it's worth.
Anyone else experience any kind of save loss like this? Or better yet, had this happen and find a fix so it won't happen again?
