Was hoping for some help with identifying this tree next to my house
I’m from southwestern Montana and I’ve had this tree outside my house for probably about 10 years now. My dad keeps trying to cut it down but it always comes back from the stump.
I’ve never identified a tree before but my guess was possibly Green Ash? From all the maps I’ve looked at, Green Ash isn’t around in my region. Is this possibly a rare occurrence? There are no Green Ash in the vicinity nor many trees at all apart from the tree across the street and a giant possible fir or spruce tree in my backyard (maybe that’s an ID post for another day lol). So I thought maybe I was totally off.
This tree is never manually watered, but gets sun basically all day. Apologies for the blurriness of the last photo.
