Hey all- I'm a young woman looking to move to KC. I've never lived in an big city before and am concerned about finding somewhere safe to live that doesn't cost too much. I saw a very similar post from a young lady in the same position, but it was ten year old and things have probably changed a bit since. Any recommendations for places not too far ( maybe 40 min max) from central KC that a girl would feel safe to walk around alone, and could find a decent place to rent for 1k or less/month? Walkability would be nice, but I'm doubting I'll be able to find work, a gym, a church, a grocery store and a good place to live all close together in a safe area. Thanks in advance!
